In the style of William Morris
Beautiful Border Designs with Heather Held
Class Description
The life, designs and thoughts of William Morris provide as much inspiration for us now as they did in his era. He is described as a “Life for our Time” and his iconic designs have never gone out of fashion. He is credited for creating over 600 foliated designs throughout his career, but that does not begin to describe his genius.
This special focus class will take an engaging look at his brilliant border designs. Whether you restrict your design to a single colour or expand your palette to explore his colours, there is something special waiting for you in this class.
We will take an in-depth look at his design process as we create our own interpretations of his work. Your border design can include seasonal elements, florals, acanthus and touch of gilding to enhance the watercolours.
Morris left us an inexhaustible legacy of inspiration as well as incredible insights and wisdom that will be shared throughout the class. All skill levels are welcome. Be inspired by the world of William Morris.
“ I have learned so much and again, you took me farther along in my journey than I ever imagined! I truly looked forward to each session ”
